Indian team both men and Women won their respective matches against Canada and England to Win the Second World Cup Kabaddi Final. Winner Men’s team got Rs. 2 crores and Women’s team got Rs.25 lakhs.
Prize money of Women’s team was 8 times less than the men’s team which was a disappointment for the women’s team but this was compensated by a Govt. job for every member of the team and promotion for the coaches of the teams.
Both Men and Women won their matches quite comfortably. Mangat Mangi was declared the best Stopper and Gagandeep Singh was declared Best Raider and given a Tractor each. Along with the prize money the Men’s team also got Govt. jobs. Pakistan team got Third Position in the tournament and won Rs.51 lakhs on the other hand Canada team got second position in the tournament and won Rs. 1 Crore.
